All-night moonlight experiential performance at the temple of Apollo Epicurius at Bassae, UNESCO World Heritage site, Peloponnese, Greece, a dream come true by the Greek choreographer, thinker and pioneer Apostolia Papadamaki. A performance by professional dancers and audience members involving movements, dance, connection, reading of dreams and staying overnight at the Sacred Temple.
You may be a believer, seeker or passerby, however, it is hard to remain indifferent to the live performances organized by charismatic Apostolia, known for her search and unveiling of the lost connection between human and nature, of history and knowledge, of feeling and belief.
Some of us may look for the saviour, salvation, for mystic connection, for gods or the science behind, we may choose to be believers or not. No matter what and who you are and where you stand and where you go, the inner dance, this beautiful connection and awe wake up inside and dance within you at the Ancient Temple of Appolo, the Savior, with a heritage of more than 4000 years. You become a pilgrim of a sort. The pilgrim of Hope.
The Temple with a rich history, with millions of connected souls from the past, present and future, from the East, West, South and North, at an altitude of 1131 metres in the middle of nowhere in the lonely heights of the Arcadian mountains. You and nature. The elements: Water, Wind, Earth, Fire and Aether. Quintessence. And it clicks and you get connected. With Nature. In the past. The present. The future. Presence.
What is magical, however, is the gathering. Of people. Of strangers. Of total strangers that have no specific reason for being together on the particular night of 28 July 2018 here at the Temple. Except for there is a reason. To be part of something bigger. Bigger than oneself.
Under the fabulous guidance of Apostolia. The Harmony in Chaos is born. Hundreds of strangers become one as they move and express themselves and dance with strangers. Who are not strangers anymore.
We. Separate. Become one. For a moment. From Darkness to Light we move on. As one...
